学科带头人 胡新天 研究员 博士生导师
胡新天研究员生于1966年。1994年被美国普林斯顿大学心理系录取,师从著名神经科学家,美国科学院院士C. Gross 教授,进行灵长类认知神经科学的研究。其间,主要研究顶叶,前额叶在空间信息处理中的作用,他的部分博士研究结果曾发表在science 杂志上。2000年,获得了普林斯顿大学哲学博士学位后,到贝勒医学院做博士后,师从著名神经科学家Dave Sparks进行眼动的神经控制机制研究。2005年,入选中科院百人计划;同时,原来的导师Dave Sparks也受聘为动物所研究员,加盟动物所灵长类神经科学的研究。
研究方向
如果把脑看成一个信息处理系统,那么感觉是它的输入,而运动是它的输出。猕猴的眼睛运动控制系统具有负荷恒定(因为眼睛的重量在一定时间内是基本恒定的),行为简单(三维转动,易于精确测量),控制回路神经元容易记录以及它的控制中枢包括了低位脑干和高级皮层的特点。这些特点使得它成为脑功能研究中一个不可多得的系统。本实验室主要以猕猴眼动系统为模型,研究大脑的信息加工处理机制和可塑性。同时,因为眼睛运动控制牵涉到许多脑的高级功能,如注意,决策等,所以许多脑功能障碍,如精神分裂症,抑郁症等,都有相关的眼动异常。我们实验室也利用眼动为指标进行脑功能障碍早期诊断和机理方面的研究。
